|Wearing white is not blibical|
When Pastor Khong and Love Singapore wears white today in protest against the GLBT Pink Dot and affirmation of his family structure, it is not blibical.
A clergy friend of mine, dislikes the song "Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb"?. But its my favourite song because it summarises the bible. It speaks of Jesus and His death and crucifixion.
There is no cleansing power of wearing white on our own accord, and law obedience. It will lead to self righteousness and hypocrisy, leading to increasing sin. Hence, the more religious one is, the bigger sinner with a closet full of skeletons. Religion is about being white on the outside. Christianity is about being white on the inside.
There is only two clothing in the bible:-
a) Naked as in the first Adam and Eve
b) You wear Goat skin covered with blood as God put on Adam and Eve, reflective of the animal's death for their sins.
If we were to be blibical, we would put on the blood soaking garments of Jesus. We would wear red, not by our blood, but by His blood that we have nothing to boast about. We can't be white by boasting our righteousness of being moral crusaders.
We can't wear white washing ourselves clean either by praying repeatedly per day, or by confession. We are cleansed by the blood of the lamb. Christians are supposed to be innately white just as Gays are innately Pink.
As we put on white this Sunday to affirm that we are holy and righteous just because we are straight, and are moral people (according to our religious laws), we are attracting sin just as vultures are attracted to dead meat. We are opening the doors of the church wide to the devil.
We can put on white garments when it is not our righteousness or our morality according to the law, or because we are straight, but solely because of the cleansing blood of the Lamb of God.
When we put on white this Sunday for the wrong motivation, we are putting the Law of Moses unto the life of the church. It will only lead to lawlessness.
When the churches wear white today, without the right believing and motivation, we are are calling upon judgement on ourselves. We open a door for the devil to come into the life of the church.
We wear white supernaturally, when we are trusting in God's love, grace, and mercy through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not about our morality, our family constuction. It is all about Jesus Christ, our Hope and Glory.
When we are washed in the blood on the lamb, we walk daily in God's grace every hour, and resting each moment in the Crucified.
This is Amazing Grace whom we live by, being washed in the fountain of God's grace. We stand, resting and receiving with outstreched arms, standing by faith and hope in the completed works at the Cross of Calvary.
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
